Why Refund Fairy Exists
Refund Fairy was founded to address a straightforward but persistent problem: refund requests are frequently denied not because they lack merit, but because they are poorly structured, weakly evidenced, or submitted through channels designed to discourage follow-up.
Prior to founding Refund Fairy, our founder spent years resolving refund and billing disputes directly — working through cases involving SaaS subscriptions, mobile app stores, PC game platforms, and online courses, across payment processors including Stripe, PayPal, and Checkout.com. That experience forms the basis of the service: a case is far more likely to succeed when it clearly establishes the timeline, presents the supporting evidence, and cites the specific policy or representation that was not honored.
Refund Fairy formalizes that process. In a few minutes, a user receives an evidence-based assessment of their case, and — where warranted — a professionally prepared refund request built to the same standard we would apply to our own disputes.
Refund Fairy does not provide legal representation and does not contact merchants on a client's behalf. Account access and merchant communication remain entirely with the user at every stage. Our role is to ensure each case is presented as clearly and persuasively as the underlying facts support, so that it is not dismissed on procedural or presentational grounds.
Every case referenced on this site reflects an actual outcome. Current pricing reflects our pilot phase, in which building a verifiable track record is prioritized over near-term margin.
Product Roadmap
Refund Fairy's current service is intentionally narrow: a user identifies a specific purchase, and we assess it. Our long-term objective is broader — a connected refund-management platform that proactively identifies eligible refund opportunities across a user's purchase history, explains the basis for each one, prepares the corresponding request, and tracks it through to resolution.
The underlying rationale is straightforward. Consumers routinely maintain dozens of active subscriptions, app purchases, course enrollments, and memberships across hundreds of merchants, each governed by different refund policies and windows. Monitoring this manually is impractical at scale. The assessment process available today — applied case by case — is the foundation on which that broader, automated capability will be built.
